Hotels

We are pleased to announce the selection of the Holiday Inn Gaithersburg (http://www.higaithersburg.com/) as the Tournament Hotel. They are holding a block of 90 rooms for us at the negotiated price of $99 per night. They are also holding 5 rooms for Thursday and Sunday nights at the $99 per night rate. The normal price for these rooms ranges from $115 to $125 per night.

While no hotel is truly convenient to the tournament fields, the Holiday Inn Gaithersburg is one of the closest and it offers some very nice amenities. Below are a few listed on their website:

  • Indoor Pool/Whirlpool (M-F 7am-10am & 4pm-10pm, S &S & Holidays 10am-10pm). Memberships are available.

To make reservations call the hotel directly at 301-948-8900 or call the Central Reservations system at 1-800-465-4329. In order to receive the discounted rate you must identify your group affiliation (Chesapeake Open Ultimate Frisbee Tournament) at the time of the reservation. These reservations must be made by Thursday, August 7, 2008 to obtain the reduced rate.

Of course, there are plenty of other hotels in the area, but due to our agreement with the Holiday Inn we will not be mentioning any of them. If you wish to find other accommodations we suggest that you search for hotels along the I-270 corridor in the Gaithersburg/Germantown area.

Camping is available at Little Bennett Regional Park located 20 minutes from the fields. More information is available here.
